February 2012 Block done I think.  Wondering if I should add some beading to the 3 butterflies?

Finished January Block for the 2012 Crazy Quilt Project.  Started on February's block

Found this half made block, finished up the construction of it and now working on the embellishments.

I have edited my January block for the 2012 Crazy Quilt Project. (With the help of Lyn G. and Kathy S.). I moved the big butterfly to the opposite corner as suggested by Lyn.  And I read Kathy's article on making trees. Mine looks more like a Banzai tree so I came up with the Theme of "Butterflies and Banzi", I think maybe I should just stay with the Theme of "Butterflies"

The size of the block will be approximately  9 X 9

Well it has been a month and I didn't get much done on my bloody block. I was going for peach and browns but that color combination just didn't inspire me, so I didn't finish the block. I know what my college clothing construction professor would do-- Throw some buttons on the block and sew them on where they land. I don't want to do just french knots or lazy daisy stitches.  I kind of like the placement of the large butterfly that I accidently took the  rotary cutter to.The dark browns look black in the picture.... decisions... decisions.
